ABOUT THE WACC

The former Whitevale Library closed its doors in the Spring of 2014. A group of volunteers, under the umbrella of the Whitevale and District Residents Association, made a proposal to the City of Pickering and received in August 2015 the mandate to repurpose this heritage building, located at 475 Whitevale Road, to establish its role as an invaluable cultural resource for our community. This small building, located in the heart of the hamlet, has become the Whitevale Arts and Culture Centre. The intent of the WACC committee is to preserve this heritage building and support Whitevale’s many annual cultural events. The WAAC hosts arts and cultural workshops. The Whitevale community is invited to get involved and to experience creative pursuits.
